Joel Turner and the Modern Day Poets - Friday 4 February - The surprise discovery of Australian Idol.

James and Johnno - by La Boite Theatre Company - Thursday 3 March - A story of two brothers, a leaky old boat and one turbulent ocean adventure. Written by Margery Forde and Michael Forde. Presented by Queensland Arts Council.

The Hooley Dooleys - Thursday 10 March - The Hooley Dooleys and their friends Captain Catastrophe, Penelope Perfect, Russell the muscly kangaroo and Tickle the doodat present a 45-minute show for the under-sixes.

Ipswich Orpheus Chorale - Annual Celebrity Concert - Friday 11 March

Don't Shoot Me - I'm Only the Piano Player" - Saturday 12 March - Laugh yourself silly and enjoy technically brilliant piano by international performer David Scheel in an unforgettable cabaret event.

Cambrian Showcase 2005 - Sunday 13 March

Tamworth on Tour - Tuesday 15 March - The stars, songs and stories direct from Australia's premier country music festival. Featured artists include James Blundell, Diana Corcoran and Brendan Walmsley.

It's a Great Day for the Irish - by Singing Brisbane - Wednesday 16 March - Begosh and negorrah! Tis the day for the wearing of the green and a fine day for an array of Irish songs and music - from Galway Bay to Irish Eyes!

2005 Queensland Eisteddfod - 18 to 27 March - State championships in music, choral, dance, speech and drama.

A Brown Slouch Hat - Ipswich Seniors Concert - Tuesday 12 April - featuring songs from the war years to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Gallipoli and 60th anniversay of peace in the Pacific.

The Breath of Life - Wednesday 13 April - Helen Morse stars in the awardwinning David Hare play involving a compelling meeting between the wife and the other woman.

2005 Ipswich International Tattoo - Saturday 16 April - Ipswich Thistle Pipe Band, massed pipes and drums, Australia's Federation Drill Team, Irish, Highland and Gaelic dancers, solo singers, orchestra band and more.

Die Fledermaus - by Co-Opera - Wednesday 20 April - A totally different cabaret of interactive opera in the round by ten nationally touring performers. Glamorous, gorgeous and overflowing with champagne music.

A Midsummer Night's Dream - Fringdwellers Youth Theatre - 22 and 23 April - This production is anything but serious. If you want a good laugh, come and have some fun.

Adam Brand - "Get Loud" Tour - Friday 6 May - With special guests, The Sunny Cowgirls, Adam performs live in concert, promoting his latest album.

Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes - Monday 9 May - Presented by Young Australia Workshop. The story of Sadako and its message for peace has turned into a worldwide movement. Her story is a celebration of life and has touched the hearts of children across the world.

Paris - Ipswich Boys and Girls Grammar Schools - 13 and 14 May - An exciting new rock musical steeped in Greek mythology.

Herman's Hermits - Direct from the UK - Sunday 15 May - One of the world's most successful groups live in concert. The band has chalked up over 23 hit singles, 10 hit albums and countless concert tours all over the world.

The Dancing Years - by Singing Brisbane - Tuesday 17 May - A sentimental return to the tunes of the war years, from the songs of the soldiers to nostalgic dance hall gems.

2005 Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow - Tuesday 17 May - Four of the most popular Australian comedians from the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and a star comic from overseas band together for one of the most hilarious nights of laughter you'll find anywhere in the world.

Baggy Pants - Children's theatre by Polyglot abd regional Arts Victoria - 18 and 19 May - A fantastic combination of puppetry, dance and music for ages 5 to 12 years. An unlikely love story with great storylines, learning and entertainment.

Memories of Theatre Royale - Patti Allen and Friends - Thursday 9 June - A morning concert for seniors to enjoy.

Barmaids - Hit Productions - Tuesday 19 July - This highly hilarious Australian comedy by Katherine Thomson is the story of two mature barmaids who work at the Arms Hotel in an Australian port. Starring Genevieve Picot and Valerie Bader.

Anthony Callea in Concert - Wednesday 20 July - Australian Idol finalist, Anthony Callea, performs in Ipswich for a one-night-only concert as part of a Queensland tour to promote his debut album.

For You Alone - by Singing Brisbane - Thursday 21 July - A heart-warming program of favourite songs and ballads made famous by the many great singers of yesterday. Great songs of love, devotion and faith will fill the program, including Ave Maria, Until, I'll Walk Beside You, Because, Jerusalem, Count Your Blessings and many more.

Bananas in Pyjamas - Monday 8 August - All singing, all dancing children's show.

Night and Day- by X-Collective - Monday 15 August - A night not to be missed with classically trained musicians performing their unique brand of orchestral music, jazz and popular standards, all with a zany twist of musical contrasts old and new.

John Williamson "Chandelier of Stars" - Wednesday 24 August - With Pixie Jenkins and Warren H Williams. True Blue rolls on in this special concert tour performance by one of Australia's best-loved country musicians.

Sharon, Keep Your Hair On! - Thursday 18 August - Fantastic children's theatre show for ages 4 to 12 years, featuring a mix of interactivity, music, song, live video projection, children's art and structured play.

Bursary Big Band Boogie - Saturday 27 August - A special concert marking the 10th anniversary of the Ipswich City Council Master Classes. Featuring the Allan Brown Big Band and Guests, together with past and present Master Class participants.

Leo Sayer - "Voice in My Head" World Tour - Thursday 25 August - You loved it when he made you feel like dancing - now enjoy the iconic 80s pop star live in concert. A mix of favourite hits and new music no fan should miss.

The Kransky Sisters "We Don't Have Husbands" - Thursday 8 September - Mad, musical and funny. Three bittersweet comedians reflecting on a dysfunctional family life and now living as spinsters. Presented by Queensland Arts Council.

The Sound of Music - Ipswich Musical Theatre Company - 9 to 12 September - The timeless classic every family should share.

Ticklish Allsorts - Wednesday 21 September - Great holiday entertainment for 3 to 10 year olds, this concert is packed with energy, exuberance, vitality and all sorts of fun for children.

Westward Ho! - An Ipswich Seniors Concert - Tuesday 27 September - A country-themed concert by Ipswich seniors for Ipswich seniors to enjoy. Grab your checked shirt and your cowboy hat and have a sing-along.

Jesus Christ Superstar - Ipswich Orpheus Chorale - 14-22 October - The award-winning Ipswich Orpheus Chorale presents Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical masterpiece in a spectacular production of passion, voice and music. Starring Warren Pennell, Phil Pennell, Melissa Fellows, Michael Hogg and Thomas Keenan with an 18-member orchestra conducted by Major Neville Hammond (ret.).

A Toast to Old Vienna - by Singing Brisbane - in Ipswich - Tuesday 25 October - With special guests, The Offenbach Strings, the talented team of Singing Brisbane returns to Ipswich to present a fabulous showcase of luscious operetta and waltzes. Glorious melodies abound in this toast to the elegant music of Strauss, Lehar and Kalman.

Deckchairs - Thursday 3 November - Starring Joan Sydney (Matron Sloane, A Country Practice) and her sister Maggie King, this production features a series of five twist-in-the-tail short stories about two women, all set on a seaside promenade. The stories and themes are diverse and range from poignant to tragic to downright hilarious. A thoroughly entertaining night of theatre is assured as two accomplished actresses showcase their talents from comedy to drama in these touching and playful stories.

James Morrison - live in concert - Saturday 5 November - Enjoy the bold and brassy sounds of one of Australia's most popular musicians as he and the On Fire Big Band take you on a jazz journey that you won't forget. James Morrison is, by anybody's standard, a virtuoso in the true sense of the word. Don't miss your chance to see this multi-faceted performer live in stage, brought to Ipswich by the Salvation Army Bundamba and Ipswich City Council.

Haydn's "The Creation" - Sunday 13 November - The award-winning Blackstone-Ipswich Cambrian Choir presents this great work with the Sinfonia of St Andrew's. They will be joined by internationally renowned tenor Gregory Massingham, soprano Sarah Sullivan and bass-baritone Timothy Grantham.

The Wizard of Oz - Christmas Show - Friday 18 November - Join Santa as he takes the Oz gang on a magical Christmas adventure. Plenty of interactive fun with a special sing-along. Come dressed as your favourite Wizard of Oz character!

Sing a Song of Christmas - by Singing Brisbane - in Ipswich - Sunday 11 December - Get into the Christmas spirit by enjoying a very special Christmas concert with the talented team behind Singing Brisbane. Hear your favourite carols and Christmas tunes sung to perfection by Jennifer Parish, Stewart Cameron and friends. A great way to ring in the festive season in style.

Bob the Builder - Can We Build It? - Thursday 15 December - Great entertainment for the little ones! One of the most popular children's characters of recent years performs live on stage with plenty of musical fun. See all your favourite characters from the hit TV show including Scoop the digger, Muck the bulldozer, Dizzy the cement mixer, Lofty the crane and Roley the steamroller. Can we fix it? Yes we can!

New Year's Eve Big Band Ball - Saturday 31 December - A spectacular end of year celebration of music, song and dance, featuring the Allan Brown Big Band. Get a group of friends together, book a table and enjoy a brilliant night's entertainment with live music and plenty of dancing. Greet 2006 in full big band style.
