Cultural Initiative Grants

The purpose of the Cultural Initiative Grant is to provide small non-recurrent grants to cultural/community based organisations with a focus on cultural development, community development, artistic development, social service, recreational, environmental or educational activities. The grants assist with initiatives that:

Assist new cultural/community projects to be developed;
Assist the development of projects, which enhance the well-being of the community and seek to address a demonstrated need of the community; and
Encourage arts/cultural activities.

Applications will be assessed on a needs basis, on benefit to the community and in accordance with the stated purpose of the grant and the Cultural Development Policy of the Ipswich City Council.

Level of Grant

Small non-recurrent grants (to a maximum of $1000) will be made available to community/cultural organisations, depending upon the availability of funds and the merit of project proposals.
