George Hogg Auditorium

The George Hogg Auditorium is the largest formal dining room in Ipswich and is suitable for performances, concerts, large dinners, dinner dances and balls.

The auditorium can seat up to 340 guests for large catered functions,780 guests in the flat-floored concert format, or 580 guests in the tiered seating configuration, which includes 198 patrons in the overhead gallery.

Theatre:

  • The auditorium can be configured as a flat floored seating plan or theatre style raked seating with an upper level gallery.
  • The stage is equipped with a seamless cyclorama, full set of black velvet legs, a half stage depth set of legs, borders and 3 sets of tabs.
  • A limited number of music stands, some with a light, are available for use.
  • The Orchestra Pit can seat 20 musicians in comfort. Modular rostra of various heights are also available.
  • In house sound and lighting equipment is available with complete technical support.
  • The Box Office provides ticketing services by phone and counter service with credit card facilities.

  • Theatre style seating with excellent sight lines.
  • Sound lighting operators control position.
  • Digital 48 Channel FOH Sound Desk - 32 Channel Foldback with 8 sends
  • Digital lighting desk and  standard theatre lighting rig
  • 28-line fly-tower for scenery changes.

 

Cunningham Room

The Cunningham Room with a carpeted area and dance floor, is ideal for dinner dances, parties, wedding receptions, meetings, seminars, trade shows and exhibitions.

The elegantly presented room features chandeliers and timber finished walls. Various room configurations can seat up to 130 guests at round tables. Weddings are a specialty with bridal change rooms adjacent.

Food and liquor table service is provided.

 

Lockyer Room

The Lockyer Room is designed for intimate functions and will accommodate up to 130 guests. This room is particularly suitable for candlelit wedding receptions or business presentations.

The room can be set up in theatre style, classroom style and U shape. Round tables are available for wedding receptions, dinners etc.

The Lockyer Room is a popular venue for training programs. Training aids include:

  • Television and video
  • Data projector and screen
  • Overhead projector and screen
  • Whiteboards.
